A guide for commissioners, services, practitioners and people with lived experience of trauma

The Northern Clinical Network for Mental Health will launch its guidance for commissioners, services, practitioners and people with lived experience of trauma. This exciting event follows on from a National workshop in March 2019 where participants were involved and gave freely of their personal and professional opinions on trauma informed care.

The resulting creation which we will launch at the event is a practical synthesis aimed at improving the experience and healing of those with trauma in their lives.

The key goals were to develop a real world framework of trauma informed principles based on narratives of good practice from around the UK. This will include applied examples of framework usage. It will integrate evidence from expert opinion, scientific research, practice-based experience with the lived experience of people with trauma histories. It will launch associated resources of written and spoken narratives about implementing trauma informed ideas.
