Child Parent Screening, FH and Lipids
Catherine is National Programme Manager for the Child Parent Screening Programme (CPSS), a portfolio option for the CVD prevention agenda, which is currently being implemented across 6 Health Innovation Networks and for which the Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria lead nationally. The service has been extended and will now run until October 2024. Catherine works closely with Julia Newton to support the integration of the CPSS into Primary Care with the aim to improve the detection of FH in line with the NHS long term plan. Catherine is also Programme Manager for PocDoc , an innovative point of care device which gives a 5 marker lipid panel within eight minutes and is currently being trialled in different settings within the NENC region. Catherine joined HI NENC following a secondment from a pharmaceutical company where she worked to support the regional CVD team. She has a wide range of experience in the pharmaceutical industry encompassing roles in market access, commercial, management and working in the therapy areas of HIV/HCV, Parkinsons Disease, mental health and CVD.
