Patient Safety Collaborative, Health Improvement Programmes

After 15 years as a manager in the hospitality trade, and three children later, Liz joined the NHS and has been a senior manager for over 18 years.

For 11 of those years she worked in the Research Ethics Service (RES) in various roles including that of a Regional Manager responsible for implementation, in the East of England, of the national change management programme to make it fit for purpose. She then went on to be a Quality Assurance Manager, implementing a QMS system for RES and a Special Projects Manager, overseeing the development and implementation of several national projects which are still part of the RES today.

For the last 6 years Liz has worked in Research Governance and in Commissioning and Business Development, within various Trusts and organisations.  Liz’s current role is as a Health Programme Manager with the AHSN NENC, supporting the implementation of Patient Safety Collaborative Programmes across the region to address specific health and service improvement issues.
